OPS is your connection to sports medicine specialists on our staff and at The Orthopedic Hospital and Fort Wayne Orthopedics. It all starts with a comprehensive evaluation that includes gait analysis and testing of joint range of motion, muscle strength and movement to identify subtle joint and muscular imbalances. Using the results of the evaluation, we develop a customized plan to fix the problem, not just the symptoms – all with the goal of getting you back to 100% as quickly as possible.
OPS partners with Fort Wayne Orthopedics to give our athletes access to advanced surgical procedures with a focus on helping them return to competition. Our fellowship-trained surgeons utilize minimally invasive techniques wherever possible to help speed recovery time and get you back in the game. They are supported by fellowship-trained, sports medicine, family practice physicians who assist with non-surgical conditions.
OPS provides certified/licensed athletic trainers to schools and sports organizations across the region. They help educate athletes, coaches and parents on injury prevention, and they are available throughout the season to assist in diagnosing and treating injuries.
OPS offers our athletes comprehensive sports rehabilitation and therapy services through Optimum Performance Therapy. Our sports medicine focused PTs are trained in the latest techniques to help you get back in the game as quickly and safely as possible.
Therapists work in tandem with fellowship-trained, sports medicine physicians and performance trainers to provide a complete continuum of care. Following physical therapy, you may choose to participate in a specialized training program to help you return to peak performance.
Thanks to the OPS Saturday sports clinic, you don't have to wait until Monday morning to get treatment for a Friday night injury. During the fall sports season, any high school or college OPS athlete can receive immediate, specialized injury care from an OPS physical therapist or trainer. All it takes is a referral from your school's athletic trainer.
When an injury occurs, get the care you need right away with OPS Concierge Service. You simply give us a call, and we will:
